General Manager Rachel Candelaria

Campo 185 General Manager and Wine Director Rachel Candelaria is passionate about exceptional guest services with 15 years of restaurant industry experience under her belt.  As Campo's leader, she oversees operations, manages the staff, and is responsible for the extensive wine program.  Most recently she has shared her management expertise and passion for wine at sister restaurants Osteria Coppa in San  Mateo, Calif., where she developed the restaurants wine program, and at Sam's Chowder House, where she has been an integral part of operations and guest services for three years as assistant general manager and wine director.  A testament to her ability to assemble a strong wine program, Candelaria's list was awarded a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.
 
Candelaria has also served as General Manager at John Bentley's in Redwood City and as Assistant Manager at Left Bank Brasserie in Menlo Park.

In developing Campo's wine list, Candelaria selected high quality yet affordable offerings, with an emphasis on Italian producers to support the cuisine, but also including many local producers from the Bay Area and California.

When she is not at the restaurant, Candelaria can often be found pursuing her other hobbies as a baker and photographer, or writing in her blog which combines both passions.
